🚨 TRAINING EXERCISE — NO EMERGENCY 🚨
If you saw a WBSD school bus with smoke coming from it today at WHS please don’t be alarmed! This was a planned training exercise for our WBSD bus drivers.
A huge THANK YOU to the Brownstown Township Fire Department and Brownstown Police Department for working with our transportation team today to provide hands-on fire prevention and emergency response training. Our drivers are getting valuable experience learning how to respond safely and efficiently in the event of a bus emergency.
The smoke was intentional and part of the training exercise. There was no emergency.
We appreciate our local first responders and their continued partnership in keeping our students and staff safe!

📌 Annual Enrollment Confirmation – Action Required
Before the 2026–27 school year begins, all parents/guardians must complete the Annual Enrollment Confirmation in Parent Connect. This quick online process ensures we have your current email, phone number, and emergency contact information in the WBSD system.
Completing this step is required before you can view your student’s teacher or class schedule.

If you can not attend on the 27th you can take care of everything at the WHS Open House on Tuesday, September 1st from 5-6:30pm. It is extremely helpful to get your chromebook, schedule and locker before the first day of school.
WHS Picture Day Information is Thursday, August 27. 10th grade 10:30 - 12, 11th grade 12 - 1:30, 12th grade 1:30-3. Make up picture day will be held during the WHS Open House on Tuesday, September 1 from 5 - 6:30pm.
