We are very proud of all the linguistic and cultural assets they bring to WUE!
Many of them take a yearly English exam called WIDA ACCESS.
This test focuses on academic language skills in reading, speaking, listening, and writing.
Every year, we celebrate students who rock this test and become our WIDA Champions.

Remember that cell phones can not be out in the school building per State law.

Our WUE Golf Club is opening a Monday session before school!
If your child has their own set of junior golf clubs and they are able to get to school at 7:45am on Mondays than this is the club for them!
This club starts on Monday, Oct 5th and goes throughout the whole school year. Students will need to bring their own clubs and will get golf lessons and practice with Mr. Bliss and our other staff support.
The club is absolutely free, but there are only six spots available! So make you sign up ASAP!

Today was a GREAT day at the WUE! 💜
We hope your child enjoyed their first day of school and is excited and ready for Day 2 tomorrow!
As we wrapped up our first day, we had nearly 400 cars picking up students from the WUE. As many of you saw firsthand, that number of vehicles can create slower-moving lines, traffic congestion, and backups onto Hall Road.
🚌 PLEASE USE BUS TRANSPORTATION IF POSSIBLE
Whenever possible, we strongly encourage families to have their child ride the school bus to and from school. Utilizing bus transportation helps us significantly reduce the number of vehicles on campus and allows arrival and dismissal to be safer, quicker, and more efficient for everyone.
We completely understand that riding the bus is not an option for every family. However, if bus transportation is an option for your child, we kindly ask that you consider using it. Every car we can remove from the pickup and drop-off lines makes a difference!
Finally, THANK YOU for your patience and understanding today as we worked through first-day bussing, arrival, and dismissal. The first few days always take a little extra time as everyone learns the routines, and we appreciate everyone working together to help things run smoothly.
