💜 Mixing It Up for Unity at WUE! 💜
Students and staff at Woodhaven Upper Elementary celebrated Unity Day on October 21 with a fun-filled Mix It Up Lunch! 🎉
🍬 Students received candy to match them with new lunch tables, where conversation starters helped spark new friendships and connections. With music playing, prizes being handed out and even some dancing in the cafeteria, it was a memorable day filled with smiles, laughter and a whole lot of Warrior spirit!
Thank you to our amazing PTO for donating the candy, our cafeteria staff for their support, and the teachers and staff who joined in the fun!
As school counselor Betsy Kanagawa shared, “We want Unity to be something we do, not something we talk about.” 💜
We're proud to see our Warriors putting kindness, inclusion and connection into action — on Unity Day and all year long!

We did it, WUE Warriors!
Thanks to our amazing students and families, we collected over 1,000 items this morning for our An Apple for Ryan Food Drive! Not only did we fill the T-Rex's belly, but we also saved Mr. G from becoming breakfast!
And the best news? We have collected over 3,200 items so far!
Our goal is 4,000 items, and we are SO CLOSE! If every WUE student brings in just ONE more item (800 students/ 800 items), we can reach our goal! Or better yet, let's CRUSH that goal and fill the WUE with donations!
We have just ONE MORE DAY to make it happen!
Our final deadline is Thursday, October 22nd at 3:00 PM. Students can bring canned goods and non-perishable items to their homeroom teachers.
Let's come together one more time, reach 4,000 items, and help provide food to families in need!
Thank you for your incredible generosity and for showing what it truly means to be a WUE Warrior!

🚨 WUE FAMILIES: TOMORROW is a HUGE Food Drive Collaboration! 🚨
We are thrilled to announce that the Warrior Charity Club is teaming up with the WUE Student Council for a special "An Apple for Ryan" Car Loop Collab event! 🍎🤝
Here's how it works:
🚗 Simply drive through the car loop tomorrow morning.
🥫 Have your student drop off non-perishable food items to the designated workers.
📝 Student Council and Warrior Charity members will be on hand to immediately collect and log your donations directly for your child’s homeroom class contest!
We want to keep our tradition of collecting the most food in the district strong!
And parents... rumor has it there might be a very special, prehistoric guest greeting you in the car loop! 👀🦖
Let's make a massive difference together!
Every box and can counts towards your child's class Donut Party and House WUE Cup! 🍩🏆
