Take a cue from Sidney, who can usually be found at Bates Elementary School, to snuggle up, grab a good book, and dream of warmer days ahead. Sidney has the right idea, bundled up and enjoying a story! 🐾📖

Congratulations to the Woodhaven High School DECA members who competed at districts at Eastern Michigan University last week. Great way to represent Woodhaven High School. There were 96 WHS students who attended, with 45 state qualifiers, 59 medals and with written events there are over 77 headed to states. Great day to be a Warrior!

What an exciting win at the last second of the game for the Varsity Basketball team! Warriors win over Lincoln Park 45-43 in a very tight game.

This morning, members of Woodhaven's International Thespian Society Troupe 8057 begin two days packed with educational theatre, including workshops, performances, speakers, and scholarship auditions. The WTC is providing our students with the best experiences out there.

WHS Students & Staff - Be sure to stop outside the Graphics Arts classroom and vote for your favorite Nutcracker! Students each designed a Nutcracker for the school's door decoration contest! Whose design will represent the Graphics Arts classroom door?

Congratulations and good luck to members of the Super Smash Bros. team of Woodhaven High School's ESports, who will be competing at Michigan State University tomorrow.
The trio of Lucas Campau, Andrew Ferguson, and Max Dorton have advanced to the quarterfinals as their current record is 10-1 and they are ranked #3 in the state.

"Oh, the weather outside is frightful
But the fire is so delightful
And since we've no place to go
Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!"
We know students love "snow days," but did you ever wonder how the decision is made? Listen to the new episode of the Warrior Way Podcast HERE - Weathering the Storm: Inside WBSD’s School Closure Process to learn more. https://rss.com/podcasts/thewarriorway/1782681

Happy Thanksgiving to our WBSD Families!

The WBSD has a great safety system, Zonar, for our bus transportation system that can be a great tool to be used by parents.
- Watch a demo video for the new Zonar MyView app here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7IPVdnZPnSs
- Download the Zonar MyView app in your device’s app store.
WBSD’s Code is: WOO9929 (This is letters “W” and “OO” not numbers)
- Login to your Parent Connect and find your child’s bus route information under the Transportation tab.
If you would like to use the additional feature, the Z-Pass, you may request one by scanning the QR code or filling out this document - https://tinyurl.com/ydkj6s2p
For more information, check out your school's weekly principal communication for more on Zonar.

Staff at Woodhaven High School got a sweet surprise today with their coffee delivery from the Brew Crew. Special guest, Hutch, with his moms Meghan and Felicia, came for a visit. Hutch, who has a special friendship with Jaiden who helped show him around, visited classrooms with students.
Students and staff both enjoyed their time with Hutch, who is named after Lions defensive end, Aidan Hutchinson. Learn more about Hutch’s story here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=epiBn806Gek

SADD has a "Grateful Tree" posted on the glass wall of the PBLZ. Students have been encouraged to write things they're thankful for on leaves that are taped on the wall.
Students Against Destructive Decisions (S.A.D.D.) is a peer education, prevention, and activism organization dedicated to preventing destructive decisions, particularly underage drinking and other drug use, risky and impaired driving, teen violence, and teen suicide.
Many of these items listed on the Grateful Tree could be at risk if you engage in risky behaviors. Make thoughtful and wise decisions.
