Woodhaven High School has been recognized as one of the top public high schools in Michigan, ranking 36th in the state according to the 2026 Best Public High Schools in America report released Monday by Niche.

Niche’s annual ranking evaluates more than 93,000 public high schools across the nation. Unlike other rankings that rely almost exclusively on test scores and academic performance, Niche incorporates input from students, alumni, and parents, alongside quantitative data from sources such as the U.S. Department of Education. The evaluation considers a wide range of factors, including teacher quality, available resources, and school facilities.

“We are proud to see Woodhaven High School recognized among the top schools in Michigan,” said Mark Greathead, Woodhaven-Brownstown School District Superintendent. “This ranking reflects the dedication of our staff, the hard work of our students, and the strong support of our families and community.”

This marks the 11th year that Niche has published its comprehensive school rankings, which provide a broad perspective on school quality and student experience. Woodhaven High School continues to build on its tradition of academic excellence, extracurricular opportunities, and a supportive learning environment.
