Some Warriors recently competed in a state mobile app development competition. 15 total finalists that presented their mobile apps to industry professionals. Congratulations to Ansia Sae and Shirlyn Dong for finishing in 1st place and Lauren Klindt finishing in 3rd.

The Downriver Career Technical Consortium, DCTC held a career fair at WHS. Over 30 local industry and businesses were there interviewing and hiring local senior students. Thank you DCTC for putting this event together. I think this is the 6th annual career fair.
National Honor Society and the Red Cross teamed up for a successful blood drive at WHS.
The dunk distracted driving assembly was an exciting experience for WHS students. Several students left with prizes. Drive safe Warriors.

REMINDER: (As IF students need a reminder!) Spring Recess is coming up next week! School resumes on March 31.
WHS students had a great experience with the School To Tools field trip. The students were able to participate in several stations and tour the trailer with several virtual and hands on experiences.
WHS Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band performed at the MSBOA District 12 Band and Orchestra Festival. Excellent performances by both bands received a rating of "straight 1's", which is the highest rating possible. Congratulations to all of the band students and Mr. Faryniarz.
The students had a fun at Powderbuff. The Seniors won over the Sophomores in the finals. Blake Dobek was impressive for the Soph. group and Ben Schott (in his 1990's crop top, reminiscent of AC Slater) was the clear MVP. Good times and great memories!
WHS is holding a choir concert on Tuesday March 18 in the high school auditorium at 7:00 PM. The students have worked really hard and have put together a wonderful show. Hope to see you there.
