One lucky winner from each lower elementary school will be selected as a finalist and travel by bus to Woodhaven High School on February 25 to compete in the districtwide cooking challenge. The excitement doesn’t stop there - this year’s overall winner will also advance to the Future Chefs National Challenge for a chance to earn special prizes and national recognition.
Entry forms are available in school cafeterias and must be submitted by January 30. Due to ordering deadlines, late entries cannot be accepted. It’s time for our Future Chefs to get creative, explore the world through food, and show off their culinary talents.

Our 6th grade STEM students at Woodhaven Upper Elementary recently put their skills to work using our new xTool laser engraver to design custom plaques for their homeroom teachers as a Christmas gift. Each plaque was thoughtfully designed and uniquely crafted—just like the personalities of the teachers they were created for. A meaningful way for students to combine technology, creativity, and appreciation!

We are grateful for the dedication, leadership, and service of the Woodhaven-Brownstown School District Board of Education. Our board members volunteer countless hours to make thoughtful decisions that support student success, guide district priorities, and strengthen our school community. Thank you for your commitment to our students, staff, families, and community.
