Join us as we pay tribute to the 412 first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001. Together, we will honor their bravery through a fitness challenge that reflects their unwavering dedication.

Participants will complete 41 minutes and 20 seconds of movement of their choice — walking, running, climbing, or a CrossFit WOD — in recognition of the 412 lives lost.

Students were tasked with building a structure out of just 3 notecards that could support the weight of a textbook 📚. Not only did they succeed, but many groups stacked 30+ books on their creations!
👏 Such a great display of teamwork, innovation, and problem-solving from our hardworking Warriors. Way to rise to the challenge! 💜💛

The 2025–26 school year is officially underway, and what an exciting start it has been! Students across the Woodhaven-Brownstown School District returned this week to the energy, joy, and promise that comes with the first days of school - and they were greeted by some incredible new opportunities.
Thanks to the continued support of our community, this year brings fresh upgrades and innovative spaces across the district. From brand-new playgrounds that spark fun and creativity, to reimagined learning commons that inspire collaboration, to cutting-edge STEM labs designed to fuel curiosity and discovery, our students are stepping into spaces that support their growth both inside and outside the classroom.
The first two days were filled with smiles, laughter, and the excitement of reconnecting with friends, meeting new teachers, and exploring these amazing learning environments. We can’t wait to see all that our Warriors will accomplish this year as they learn, grow, and thrive together.

WBSD offers a Technology Protection Plan for $20 a year per student to help cover any accidental damages that may occur throughout the school year on student devices. All payments must be received by September 30th in order to be considered covered this 2025-2026 school year. This is an optional program, however damages that occur will be charged to each student if not enrolled. 🚌 A Friendly Reminder: Patience with Bus Transportation 🚌
As we move through the first weeks of school, we want to thank you in advance for your patience and understanding. Afternoon bus routes (and likely the remainder of this week) may run later than expected as students, families, and staff adjust to new routines and heavier traffic around our schools.
Our transportation team has been diligently preparing—drivers have been practicing these routes for over a week and are very familiar with them. It will, however, take a week or two before bus stop times consistently align with the posted schedules.
We appreciate your support as we work to ensure that all students get to and from school safely. Safety is always our top priority, and with time, the routes will smooth out and timing will become more reliable.

As part of the New Teacher Academy, teachers took part in an ice breaker called "Goose Chase." Part of the online scavenger hunt was to take selfies along the way! Teachers also received training from different administrators throughout the day.
