WBSD uses the Centegix Visitor Management System, ensuring all school visitors scan their driver’s license before entering a building.
This system adds an extra layer of accountability, keeping our students safe while allowing staff and families to focus on what matters most - learning, teaching, and thriving in a secure environment.

Let’s show what it means to live the Warrior Way — be kind, be respectful, and make someone’s day a little brighter. One small act of kindness can spark a chain reaction that changes the world. 🌎✨
#WorldKindnessDay #TheWarriorWay

Every day, our dedicated safety and security team works behind the scenes—and right alongside our students—to make sure our schools remain safe, welcoming, and supportive places to learn.
WBSD employs a full-time Safety and Security Coordinator and 10 Safety Monitors stationed at Woodhaven Upper Elementary, Brownstown Middle School, and Woodhaven High School.
These trusted team members are visible throughout the school day - greeting students, monitoring hallways and common areas, and building positive relationships that help foster a sense of safety and trust.
Their daily interactions, vigilance, and care play an essential role in maintaining a secure environment where students can focus on learning and growing.
At WBSD, school safety isn’t just a responsibility - it’s a shared commitment.

Today at Erving Elementary, our littlest learners in Mrs. Danosky’s GSRP class took time to celebrate and thank our veterans for their service. The students created thoughtful cards and learned about the importance of gratitude and honoring those who serve our country.
We are proud of their big hearts and the meaningful way they showed appreciation today.
Thank you, veterans — we are grateful for your courage and sacrifice.

On Monday, 32 members of the Brownstown Middle School National Junior Honor Society, along with 4 staff members, volunteered at the Gleaners Taylor South Distribution Center. For two hours straight, students worked hard on two packing lines - helping prepare nearly 800 boxes of food to support around 20,000 people in our community.
This meaningful experience was made possible thanks to the Woodhaven-Brownstown Education Foundation (WBEF), which provided bussing through one of its grants.
Thank you, WBEF, for helping our students make a difference and for your continued support of hands-on learning experiences that strengthen our community! 💪💜
