Ever heard of a "Proxy" or "VPN"?
Sometimes students try to use these "digital side doors" to bypass school filters. While it might seem like a clever trick, it actually removes the safety net that protects them from malicious sites and inappropriate content.
Let's work together! Talk to your student about using district tech responsibly.

Happy Paraprofessionals Day to the incredible team at Woodhaven-Brownstown School District 💜 Today we celebrate the heart and backbone of our classrooms - our paraprofessionals. You are the quiet heroes who show up every single day with patience, compassion, and unwavering dedication to our students. Whether you’re offering a helping hand, a listening ear, or that extra encouragement a child needs to succeed, your impact does not go unnoticed. You meet students where they are, lift them up when they need it most, and help create a safe, supportive environment where everyone can learn and grow. Simply put… schools would not run the same without you. To all of our parapros: thank you for the love you pour into your work and the difference you make in so many lives. We appreciate you more than words can say. #ParaprofessionalsDay #WBSDProud #ThankYouParapros #WhyWBSD

All it takes is one.

Today, Woodhaven High School sat in silence as students listened to the Fentanyl Fathers. It wasn't just a presentation; it was a raw, heart-wrenching look at the reality of an epidemic that is claiming 196 lives a day.

The statistics are staggering, but the stories are what stayed with us. One father shared: "This is how I honor him and get through life... I do it for your families. Families are left with a life of pain and misery."

The message was clear:

One pill can kill.

Counterfeit pills are everywhere, and they don't give second chances.

The pain, regret, and guilt left behind for parents like Mike Gillette is a weight no one should have to carry.

Students, you have goals, dreams, and a bright future ahead of you. Don't let one mistake take that away.

Take what you learned today and start a discussion. Talk to your parents. Talk to your friends. It’s a conversation that could save a life.

🍎 Inspiring the Next Generation of Teachers!

The new Future Educators Club at Woodhaven High School is already making an impact. Students recently completed their first clinical experience at Woodhaven Upper Elementary — stepping into classrooms, assisting teachers, and discovering what it’s really like to be at the front of the room.

From helping with math lessons to joining choir, gym, and world language classes, our future educators came back energized and excited for what’s next!
