We just wanted to give a big thank you to Mrs. Rochon and all of the staff who helped organize and run the Battle of the Books competition—your hard work, planning, and dedication created an engaging and memorable experience for our students.
Events like this truly foster a love of reading, teamwork, and friendly competition.

Congratulations to Team Ravioli for taking home the win! Your preparation, collaboration, and deep knowledge of the books were impressive, and you represented yourselves with great pride.

Take Your Child to Work Day is April 23rd.
If you want your child's absence on this day to be excused, you will need to submit the form by Tuesday, April 21st.
We encourage all parents to take their child with them on this day, as this is a GREAT experience for them!

💜 Help Our Heroes: WUE Hygiene Drive 🤍

Woodhaven Upper Elementary is teaming up with the Kiwanis Club and the Warrior Charity Club for a special hygiene drive! From now through April 27th, we are collecting essential items to support veterans at Piquette Square in downtown Detroit and our local shelters.

🛒 Items to Collect:
Soap & Body Wash
Toothpaste & Toothbrushes
Kleenex
Shampoo & Conditioner

📅 Important Dates:
Start Date: Running now!
End Date: Tuesday, April 27

Drop-off Location:
Please bring all donations to the collection bins outside the main office or to Mrs. McCollum's room 207.
