Tonight’s Sixth Grade Band Concert was a wonderful reflection of our students’ growth, dedication, and teamwork.
What began at the start of the year as separate sections—woodwinds, brass, and percussion—came together this evening as one unified band, performing with confidence, pride, and a shared passion for music.
The concert was a powerful reminder that every student plays an important role in creating something bigger than themselves. Through hard work, practice, and perseverance, our students learned that success comes when individuals commit to a common goal and support one another along the way.
A special thank you goes to Mr. Siebert for the leadership, energy, and commitment brought to our band program.
He has created an environment where students not only grow as musicians, but also as teammates who understand the value of collaboration, discipline, and pride in their work.
The impact of that guidance was evident throughout the entire performance.

Your child has the opportunity to participate in the WUE Summer Enrichment Program! This program is designed to strengthen students’ Math and Reading skills for the upcoming school year while also providing a summer full of engaging activities and FUN.
Below you will find important information regarding the program:
Program Overview:
Students will enjoy a fun-filled experience with our teachers and counselors. The program will run every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with each day beginning and ending with activities focused on strengthening and retaining the Math and Reading skills students developed throughout the school year.
Additional activities may include:
Arts and crafts
S.T.E.M. activities
Social-Emotional Learning activities
Team and individual sports
Team-building experiences and more
And fun- field trips that are free as well
Woodhaven-Brownstown teachers will be on site Tuesday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. to provide academic support for students who receive this special invitation.
Please note: This program is separate from the Parks & Recreation summer program and is different from the K-4 summer programs. However, students enrolled in Parks & Rec programs may still participate. Transportation can be coordinated so students may attend both programs.
Cost: FREE
Transportation:
Bus pick-ups will be available from students’ regular bus stops or from Parks & Rec sites for students enrolled in city-provided summer programs.

The Needoh & “squishy” fad is becoming a distraction at school. They are being misused, thrown, traded, stolen, broken, vandalized, etc. Please keep ALL toys, including these, at home. Toys may be confiscated if they come to school. Thanks for making sure our students can focus on their learning by keeping those distractions at home.
Reminder: Friday, May 22 is a half day for all students and Monday, May 25 is no school in remembrance of Memorial Day.
The Warrior Charity Club, in partnership with the Woodhaven Kiwanis, is proud to announce our 2nd annual Summer Cereal Drive. As the school year winds down, many local families lose access to school-provided breakfast and lunch programs. Our goal is to bridge this "summer gap" by providing local food pantries with shelf-stable, kid-friendly nutrition.

Collection Dates: May 18th – 29th
Location: Students should bring donations to their Homeroom.
The Goal: To combat childhood food insecurity in our immediate community.
