Remember today from 3-6pm is your first opportunity to pick up chocolate to sell to help with your 5th Grade Camp or 6th Grade, Chicago Trip! See below for more details!

If your student is attending the Chicago trip or 5th Grade Camp and you would like financial support, the PTO is offering a World’s Finest Chocolate fundraiser. Families may keep 100% of the money raised to use toward their student’s trip expenses.

Don’t miss this opportunity to help cover trip costs or earn spending money for the trip. Either way, selling chocolate is a simple way to make these experiences more affordable.

Chocolate can be picked up before or after school. Please see the visual for specific dates and times.

Dear Woodhaven Upper Elementary Families,
We are excited to share that Woodhaven Upper Elementary will be participating in a Kids Against Hunger service event on Saturday, January 31, 2026.

Kids Against Hunger is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing nutritious meals to children and families facing food insecurity around the world. During this hands-on event, students will help package meals that will be distributed to those in need. This is a meaningful opportunity for our students to serve others while learning the importance of compassion and community service.

Permission slips will be coming home with students on Friday, Jan 9th . Please be sure to return the signed permission slip no later than January 26, 2026. We are also asking families to include a $5 donation, if possible, to help offset the cost of the meals and supplies for this event. No student will be excluded if a donation is not able to be provided.

We are also looking for parent volunteers for the event, so if you would like to work alongside your child on this event of giving and hope, please sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30E044DA9A62BA6F58-61455659-kids

Thank you for your continued support and for helping us make this service experience a success for our students. We look forward to a rewarding and impactful event for our Woodhaven Upper Elementary community.
