The Brew Crew is BACK ! Students in the Brew Crew in Mrs. Ray's class prepare coffee, tea, "Woo Tea Purple Tea", lavender lemonade, and hot cocoa and sell the items to staff at Woodhaven High School on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Each student has a job from punching punch cards, taking care of the cash box, pushing the coffee cart and more. The Brew Crew has also gone on field trips to the City of Woodhaven municipal offices and Brownstown Police Department to name just a few. The group is always looking to connect more with our community too!

Woodhaven-Brownstown School District in conjunction with our partner, Corewell Health, are offering a free heart health screening to our athletes ages 13-18 years old at Woodhaven High School.
Students must pre register for the event, which will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2024.
Corewell Children’s Student Heart Check offers students aged 13 to 18 the opportunity to participate in a series of free heart screening tests that could save their lives. The event will be held at Woodhaven High in the gym: 24787 Van Horn Rd, Brownstown, MI 48134.
The program combines a simple health history with a noninvasive screening to look for signs of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, a serious heart condition that is the leading cause of sudden cardiac death in young athletes. HCM affects approximately one in 500 people and does not usually have any symptoms.
Parents can register their child from the QR codes attached and download the proper paperwork to fill out.

September 17 - National Constitution Day
On September 17th, the Woodhaven-Brownstown School District joins the nation in commemorating Constitution Day. This day marks the anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Constitution in 1787—a document that has guided our nation for over two centuries.
We celebrate the principles of democracy, justice, and liberty that form the bedrock of our country. It’s also a day to honor those who have become United States citizens, embracing the rights and responsibilities that come with this proud designation.
Let’s encourage our students to learn about and appreciate the Constitution, which continues to shape our nation and our lives.
