We are asking our WUE families to help us “Stuff the Lounge” with prepackaged snacks & drinks for our teachers & staff as we prepare for Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week. If you are able to help with this, send in items to the Main Office the week of April 28th. Thanks for showing our teachers and staff some love!

We are looking for help at our 6th Grade Farewell Events coming up in June. For each event, we are in need of four great volunteers that can help serve drinks to our students and their guest. The WUE is throwing a celebration for the 6th Grade Students who make the Honor Roll all 3 trimesters of this school year! The PTO will be hosting a Laser Tag activity on June 10th at the school for these students and invites will be coming home closer to the event. 📚 March is Reading Month! 📚 At WBSD, our educators are passionate about sharing stories that inspire and teach. Mr. Dave Messner, 6th Grade ELA & Social Studies Teacher at Woodhaven Upper Elementary, shares his favorite read. 🔍 Mr. Messner: Holes by Louis Sachar "Even though the book has been around for a while, I recently read it with my daughter. I love how it's kind of two stories combined into one, and how each story eventually "meets" at the end for a surprise conclusion to the book.
