📚 March is Reading Month! 📚
At WBSD, our educators are passionate about sharing stories that inspire and teach. Mr. Dave Messner, 6th Grade ELA & Social Studies Teacher at Woodhaven Upper Elementary, shares his favorite read.
🔍 Mr. Messner: Holes by Louis Sachar
"Even though the book has been around for a while, I recently read it with my daughter. I love how it's kind of two stories combined into one, and how each story eventually "meets" at the end for a surprise conclusion to the book. I also really like how the novel emphasizes the themes of friendship, integrity, and being true to yourself."
