Good Evening, This is Mr. Podlewski writing to remind all of our families about our annual Winter Carnival scheduled to run from 6:00 until 8:00 on Friday evening. Parents, we are in need of donations of baked goods for our cake walk. Please send donated baked goods in with your Gator on either Thursday or Friday morning. Your donations are greatly appreciated as the more baked goods we have, the more Gators will win, which they love doing. Even more important is the request that you bring your whole family for an evening filled with fun, games, and treats. From Carey Ann, our clown, to the cake walk, the duck pond, our photo booth where you can have your picture taken with your best friends, and much, much more. If you did not buy your tickets in advance, they can be purchased when you come to Yake on Friday evening. Caren Ann and I will look forward to seeing all of our Gators on Friday night. Thank you, and have a great evening. Tim Podlewski

Good morning, Please join me in congratulating the Woodhaven Theatre Company and the Play Production class on winning their third straight state championship (and fourth in the last five years). The company of The Price was tremendous throughout the competition at Wayne State University last weekend. The WTC also brought home trophies for the Golden Truck (best load in/out), Black Gaffe (best backstage execution), Fitz Class Act (for behavior, courtesy and kindness), People's Choice Award (voted on by the other participating schools), and many individual, ensemble and crew awards . Former Yake Gators were recognized and received awards in many categories. Yake father and Watch D.O.G., Mike Clemons was honored as 2024-25 Michigan Theatre Teacher of the Year. He has won this award at least four times in his illustrious career. The WTC students are simply outstanding and deserve every accolade that they received. Way to go, Mr. Clemons and the Woodhaven Theatre Company! You make our whole community proud!

📚❄️ Reminder - NO SCHOOL tomorrow, Wednesday, January 22, 2025. ❄️📚 Due to dangerously cold temperatures, all Woodhaven Brownstown School District buildings will be closed on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. Take a cue from Sidney, who can usually be found at Bates Elementary School, to snuggle up, grab a good book, and dream of warmer days ahead.
