The Woodhaven Theatre Company (WTC) will bring one of American theatre's most celebrated plays to the stage this week as student performers present Thornton Wilder's Our Town, Nov. 5-7 at Woodhaven High School.

Directed by teacher and WTC advisor Michael Clemons, Our Town explores the beauty found in everyday moments, reminding audiences of the importance of family, friendship, growing up, love and the seemingly ordinary experiences that make up our lives.

Set in the fictional small town of Grover's Corners, the classic play uses simple staging and storytelling to take audiences through the lives of its residents, encouraging them to slow down and appreciate the moments that can sometimes be taken for granted.

For Clemons, Our Town is more than just another production.

"This is my favorite play," Clemons said. "There is not a more important play in existence."

The production features a talented group of Woodhaven High School student performers who have been working to bring Wilder's timeless story to life.
