The Woodhaven Theatre Company and Play Production class are celebrating an outstanding achievement after advancing two productions to the Michigan Interscholastic Forensic Association (MIFA) Theatre State Finals this season.

At the regional competition, Woodhaven students earned top honors in both performance categories. Wiley and the Hairy Man captured First Place in the Main Stage division, earning a Superior rating. The production was recognized for excellence in ensemble physicality, lighting execution, and overall performance.

In the Studio division, Eurydice earned Second Place, also receiving a Superior rating for its performance and production quality.

Both productions will now advance to the MIFA Theatre State Finals in St. Johns, where students will compete against top programs from across the state and defend Woodhaven’s championship title.

Before heading to state finals, the community is invited to attend a special public performance featuring both award-winning productions. This will be the only public performance prior to the state competition.
