We are making big changes to the Woodhaven-Brownstown School District for the start of the 2024-2025 school year. These changes are designed to bring even more opportunities to our students from Pre-K to high school. We’re encouraging students to explore their interests and passions and we are providing them with more support and deeper relationships with our caring staff members. 

Watch this site for more details on all that is being planned for later this year as we gear up for one of the biggest changes in the history of the WBSD:

• Expansion of preschool to all elementary schools which will become PreK to 4th grade

• Transition Patrick Henry Middle School from an 8th/9th building to a 5th/6th Upper Elementary School

• Transition Brownstown Middle School to a 7th/8th grade middle school.

• Move 9th grade students to Woodhaven High School for the first time in over 25 years.  

Our planning is designed to:

• Support students academically, socially and emotionally / student-centered

• Ensure welcoming learning environments

• Enhance Birth to age 5 programs

• Provide timely and relevant information to staff, students and families
