Yearbook -
Adviser: Mrs. Callahan
Activity: Create 80+ page yearbook
Meeting Dates: Every Wednesday all year after school from 2:20 - 3:30 PM
Once pages are assigned, students are able to work on them from home allowing students to participate in yearbook even if they are involved in other activities.
Art Club -
Adviser: Mrs. Hetzel
Activities: A place for students who love art to meet others with similar interests and collaborate on
group projects that improve our school and community
Meeting times: 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month from 2:25 until 3:30 PM in the art room
First meeting October 1st
Chess Club -
Adviser: Mrs. Balavitch
Meetings: Every Thursday all year after school from 2:20 -3:00 PM in room 101
Start date Thursday, September 27th
Student Mentors -
Advisory: Mrs. Smith & Mrs. Kanagawa
Activities: Help with school wide initiatives like Mix it Up Lunch and De-Stress Before the Test, buddy for new students, orientation tour guide, and others as needed
Meeting: During lunches as needed - two meetings a month
FTC Robotics Team (Middle School Level) -
Mentor: Mr. Gentz and Mr. Villalobos
FTC Robotics (First Tech Challenge): The team will design, build, and program a robot to complete the new released FTC game.
The team is capped at 15 students and will meet almost every day after school from September to mid-November. The team will attend at least one FTC qualifier event. Event schedules are done at the state level and our placement is not known until mid-season.
Fishing Club (Starts 2nd Semester) -
Mentor: Mr. Gentz
Activities: All topics fishing including but not limited to: Baits, Lures, Rigging, Rod Building, Fly Tying etc. Mr. Gentz specializes in Trout and Salmon Species. All skill levels and knowledge are welcome to attend. Meeting outcomes and agenda will be determined by those expressing interest in the subject at the gatherings. Meetings will be up to two times per month and schedule is TBD.
Creative Writing Club -
Mentor: Mrs. Zalghout
Activities: Explore and write fiction, poetry, and all types of writing
Tentative Meeting Dates: Every Thursday (may move to every other Thursday)
Tentative Meeting times: 2:30-3:30 PM
Yeti Ski Club -
Mentor: Mr. Clark and Mr. Greathead
Activities: Skiing and Snowboarding
Tentative Meeting Dates: Beginning in December

Student Council -
Adviser: Mr. Rosenberger
Activities/Purpose: Supporting culture and climate of the school and community - Spirit Days, Pasta for Pennies, Sadies Dance, Bullying Prevention, etc.
Tentative Meeting Dates: As necessary - meetings rotate on days so students may participate in other activities as well. More info will follow - listen closely to morning announcements.
Drama Club -
Mentor: Shelby Seeley and Mrs. Seeley
Activities: Create, perform, and present stories and songs as an ensemble on stage
NJHS -
Sponsor: Mrs. Moseley
Purpose: To participate in activities in our community that support the five pillars of NJHS
Activities: Participation in Kids Against Hunger, Salvation Army Bell Ringing, cards to local senior living homes, help our elementary schools with science night, etc. Mandatory three hours of internal and three hours of external services.
Tentative Meeting Dates: As needed - will be run through lunch time this school year
Communication: Mainly through reminders and google classroom
