• Woodhaven High School - Students 9th through 12th grades

  • The Woodhaven-Brownstown School District has developed a comprehensive reconfiguration plan that has involved years of research and development. Since 1998, Woodhaven High School has been home to students in 10th through 12th grades, with freshmen attending Patrick Henry Middle School.

In the fall of 2024, Woodhaven High School will include students in grades 9 through 12. Freshman students will feel more engaged and woven into the high school fabric as they will attend classes on the same campus.

Woodhaven High School has seen extensive construction over the last two years to add space in preparation for the new freshman class. A graphics and arts addition was constructed on the west side of the building, allowing for expansion in other areas of the school with additional classroom space. A performing arts wing, which is currently under construction on the northeast corner of the building, will allow for an expansion of the band and chorus programs at WHS.

Other current construction projects include updates to classrooms throughout the building, restroom updates, a renovated and expanded cafeteria, and a new counseling suite. This is in addition to the renovated spaces throughout the school, such as the media center and Project-Based Learning Zone (PBLZ) for small group learning.

Additionally, Woodhaven High School has received updated athletic facilities over the past two years. Newly constructed baseball and softball fields as well as greenspace and practice fields were completed in 2023.
